Meet The Team

When we decided to set up a foundation in our daughter’s name, it was important to choose trustees that knew and loved Olivia.

Vanessa Wickins, Debbie Fuller and Wendy Bryant are long-standing friends of our family and have known Olivia since her birth. They are therefore well-placed to act as trustees for a charity set up in her name.

We have all been, and some are still, successful business women across various sectors in both the United Kingdom and South Africa. Between us, our years of experience and areas of expertise, we cover all the key aspects of running the Olivia Sieff Foundation.

Christine, Jonny and Nicky are particularly grateful for the commitment of our trustees, as well as for all the other friends, who are standing by to help us achieve Liv’s vision.

Christine Sieff

Christine has experience in a range of industries, from Retail and Insurance in South Africa, to Investment Banking in the UK. Most important by far, however, has been her role as mum to Olivia and her brother Nicky.

In the last week of Olivia’s life, as the plans for her future were becoming clear, she told Christine of her intention to help abused and neglected children.

The Olivia Sieff Foundation is the realisation of Liv’s dream.

Vanessa Wickins

Vanessa began her career working in the medical and insurance fields. However, following her passion, she left the corporate world in 2001 and began a successful import and retail fashion business, which she has owned and run ever since. Besides being a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman, Vanessa is a wife and mother of three. She now lives in Cape Town.

Vanessa’s success in starting and running her own business, demonstrates her innate grit and determination, but it has never altered her philosophy on life: that true success is built on faith, family, friends, trust, compassion and hard work.

Following her recent move to Cape Town, Vanessa has taken time out from her business, in part to focus on assisting the Sieff family in the setting up and running of Olivia’s Foundation.

Vanessa has been lifelong friends with Olivia’s mom Christine and is committed to, and passionate about, the foundation. She looks forward to helping to build Olivia’s legacy through the Olivia Sieff Foundation; providing for and advancing the cause of vulnerable and abused children.

Wendy Bryant

Currently, Wendy lives in Sussex, United Kingdom, and works in London, where she has spent most of her professional career. Upon qualifying as an accountant, she took the opportunity to move to London. She has worked within the finance field across various global and national organisations.

From the time they were toddlers, Wendy has been friends with Olivia’s mom, Christine. For many years Wendy was “adopted” by the Sieff family in London, where she had the privilege of watching Olivia grow up.

Olivia’s enduring legacy, the Olivia Sieff Foundation, will provide hope, faith and joy to abused and defenceless children, which Wendy is dedicated to helping develop.

Deborah Fuller

Deborah Fuller is a wife and mum, who has lived between England and South Africa in her adult life. In her professional context, she is passionate about unlocking commercial growth through people. At the heart of her passion lies her desire to unlock the human potential for good.

Currently Deb is living in South Africa, where she is the Chief Human Resource Officer for a major South African financial institution. She has spent her almost 30 year career in the Human Capital arena, mainly in financial services in South Africa and the UK, working for large scale multinational firms in African, European and global portfolios.

Deb, who has been a close friend of Olivia’s mum and dad since university days, watched Olivia grow up from a ‘tiny tot’ to the extraordinary young woman that she became. With her many talents, strong sense of faith, personal resolve and morality, she would have made a tremendous mark on her community and society at large. Deb is committed to contributing to a better life for those in need, through the Olivia Sieff Foundation, to ensure that the legacy of this extraordinary young woman lives on for many decades to come.
